Moor End Development Trust was established on 14th March 2003 by people who live in the Pennines area of Rochdale as a means of taking forward projects of benefit to the community.

Objects of the Trust

The governing document of the Trust (the Memorandum of Association) defines the objects as follows: -
  • To provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life.
  • The maintenance, improvement or provision of public amenities.
  • To promote and advance education for the public benefit, in particular but not exclusively in the arts.
  • To promote the preservation and protection of the environment.
  • To promote the preservation of buildings or sites of historic or architectural importance.
  • Other such charitable purposes beneficial to the community as the trustees deem fit.
