| | | Introduction to Butterworth Hall |
Butterworth Hall is a feather in the Trust’s cap.
The Trust successfully negotiated its first project, Butterworth Hall. The lease of the building was given by Rochdale Council.
Refurbishment of the building took two years which included replacement windows, rewiring, repairs to the roof and heating system. Further works carried out by the council resulted in new floor coverings and decorating. The community was also grateful to a donation by one of the management committee members for decorating work on the main hall.
In April 2006 the management committee were successful in the “Awards for All” bid and received a further £5k. This was used to split the exisiting kitchen into a smaller kitchen and office.
